As we reach the end of the first year without Dave, it’s with a swollen heart that I announce the release of our album Axis Mundi. Although the overwhelming feeling that he should be here and we should be hitting the road won’t leave my mind, I am at the same time overjoyed that our final effort will at last be entering the world.
Axis Mundi was written and recorded at home during the year that Dave was ill, and completed during the summer of 2014 with help from my brother, Spencer and our friend and Machines With Magnets engineer, Seth Manchester. I have never been more proud of a body of work.
The album will be officially available on April 28th; pre-order available now, at brownbird.bandcamp.com. Limited-edition tshirts, designed by Will Schaff are also available, as well as a limited supply of colored vinyl. “Bannermen” is being premiered on Diffuser; more songs coming out soon.
